The Retreat & The Journey

Participants will be staying at Wakaya Ecolodge, a lush, serene property featuring charming bungalows in the heart of Pucallpa, Peru and attending ceremonies and plant treatments at a local indigenous-owned center under the facilitation of Mee Ok Icaro.

After attending ayahuasca retreats all over the world with indigenous and Western healers for over a decade, Mee Ok partnered with Shipibo ayahuasqueros to design a retreat that offers the very best of plant medicine healing.

Its carefully considered guidelines help guests connect more fully with sacred medicine and the pharmacy of the Amazon, while emphasizing preparation, processing, and integration for more impactful ceremonies and post-retreat life transformation.

Life Purpose coaching, trauma-informed integration, somatic healing modalities, and psycho-spiritual tools will be offered to guests as the core foundation of the daily group and individual facilitation sessions.

At the heart of the retreat is the belief that by working with the mind, body, and spirit, the plants can guide us in shifting our consciousness to heal ourselves and all our relations.

What to Expect

With a maximum of (14) fourteen participants, this retreat offers the opportunity to engage in deep plant medicine work with the comfort of modern accommodations to support guests. Participants can anticipate surrendering their electronic devices for the duration of the retreat, processing their experiences in a very intentional way, observing silence, engaging in an individual, inward journey (no couples or family members), receiving personalized attention and sacred teachings of the Shipibo tribe and the plants, and a guided post-dieta. What Is a Plant Medicine Sauna?

Saunas, or vapor baths, are an essential tool used to prepare and support guests in their ayahuasca ceremonies. They offer an additional way to purge energy through the sweat glands, which lead to deeper and more clarifying ceremonies. This is not merely a physical experience – it can bring up deep emotions and provide healing on every level.

What Is a Flower Bath?

Flower baths are a sacred cleansing ritual that invite the spirit of ayahuasca to penetrate more deeply, allowing for a more profound connection and healing experience. They do this by allowing us to become more like lovely flowers before entering the plant spirit world.
